Our Story
We manufacture upholstered furniture on the Canadian west coast. As a manufacturer, we have control over the materials in our products. We use materials that are durable, good for your health, and good for the environment. Most retailers can't make the same commitments because they import furniture from overseas.
Foam
All of our foam is certified by CertiPUR-US, meaning it has been tested to meet rigorous standards for emissions, content, performance, and durability. This certification is not required by laws or regulations. We obtained this certification because of our commitment to using the highest quality materials. Specifically, the foam is:
- Made without ozone depleters
- Made without toxic flame retardants
- Made without mercury, lead and heavy metals
- Made without formaldehyde
- Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
- Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).
Our foam density is 2.3-2.7 pounds per cubic foot, and is classified as high resiliency foam. This is the highest quality and most comfortable foam in the industry.
Wood
We use Baltic Birch for all of our frames - it is the strongest and most durable in the industry. We import this wood from Europe because the cold temperatures of the Baltics result in a denser and sturdier form of Birch than what grows in North America.
Fabrics
We only offer fabrics that have been tested for high durability. We use fabrics with a minimum rub count of 50,000. Our fabrics are sourced from around the world, including the US, Europe, and Asia.
